Returning

I apologize for my long, sudden, and unexplained absence. I became lazy, tired, and annoyed at politics (especially over Michael Jackson’s death making everyone forget about Iran’s problems), something I’m sure everyone has experienced at least once. Now that classes are back in session, I’ll only be able to post on the weekends or Friday (if I have the time) but I will make a point of posting again.

On that note, any book suggestions that are affordable? I feel like buying something.

I’m glad you’re back. I was worried you’d quit blogging. I very much enjoy reading your posts, not to mention the comments.

The Michael Jackson coverage is overkill, to me at least. When the lives of celebrities start overshadowing real world news, I get pissed. Leave celebrity news and gossip to ET, please, and get back to the real news.

I’ve read three books recently that I enjoyed. If you’re strapped for cash, the library is your friend.

    1. Fog Facts: Searching for Truth in the Land of Spin by Larry Beinhart.
    ($13.95 on Amazon)

    2. Imperial Crusades: Iraq, Afghanistan and Yugoslavia by Alexander Cockburn and Jeffrey St. Clair
    ($11.70 on Amazon)

    3. Everything You Know Is Wrong: The Disinformation Guide to Secrets and Lies edited by Russ Kick
    ($16.47 on Amazon)

There’s a lot of free books out there ;)

Try Cory Doctorow, or if you’re interested a bit more in radical politics check out Kropotkin’s work or the Anarchist FAQ.

Anything by Greg Palast is generally really good.

I’m fucking with you, by the way. The Torah is where it’s at.

If you haven’t read it Jack London’s “The Iron Heel” is a nice treat comrade.

Agnostics are puzzled: Where is God? Why this confusion? But also: Why belief in the occult? How do the possessed levitate? Why are there provable ‘Miracles’? Abbott, writing ‘Flatland’ explained contiguous geometric worlds to solve the difficulties. Now ‘Techie Worlds’ examines impossible concepts like trinity, resurrection, judgment, souls and more, showing they are logical and reasonable in the context of contiguous geometrical worlds. It is the way of science: to examine phenomena in the light of theory.
Neither approach can be proved or dis-proved, but the advantages of life and nature weigh towards the Christian view, teaching the way of love.. ‘Techie Worlds’ (available from amazon.com) will bring Moslems and Jews to the teachings of Jesus.

George, you’re retarded. You’re the kind of idiot Jesus preached against- The mindless drone, going with the convention at the time. Jesus HATED organized religion. He hated it so much and stirred up such a scene, he was executed for it. Don’t fall back into the rut of mindless dogma.
