Anti-religion bus ads get…no complaints?

Hey, look at this. Ads going up encouraging people to leave their religion have produced no complaints.

"Fatwa on your head?" a new series of provocative ads on New York City buses asks. "Is your community or family threatening you? Leaving Islam?"

The ads, sponsored by an organization called Stop the Islamization of America (SIOA), direct viewers to refugefromislam.com, a website designed "for people who are thinking of leaving Islam or are leaving Islam and need resources" to protect them from harm.

Oh, whoops. That’s why. No complaints against the specific ads mentioned above–I guess if atheists want to question religion they need to specify which one instead of vague comments directed at, you know, nobody’s specific belief system.

Seriously, what the fuck.

    Looks pretty typical.

  1. More specifically, the ads need to target Islam, which is fairly acceptable in this country. If the ads remotely criticized Christianity (which apparently many Christians infer even from the vague ads) there would be hell to pay.
